The Russian "Soyuz-2.1a" rocket was launched on the "Kondor-FKA" radar observation satellite, the Eastern Space Launch Site. On May 27, the Russian Space Agency announced the successful deployment of the first "Eagle-FKA" radar observation satellite. The new satellite weighs 1.05 tons and has an orbital altitude of 500 to 550 kilometers. It can make all-weather meteorological observations on the surface at medium and high resolution. It can take up to 100 images of the earth's surface every day, mainly to meet the monitoring needs of agriculture, natural disasters and northern sea ice. The Russian Space Agency plans to launch the second Condor-FKA satellite in 2024.
